Santa Barbara County Safety Protocols

We are excited that you have chosen the Hitching Post 2 for your dining experience and we look forward to welcoming you to our restaurant!

Starting Wednesday, June 17, 2020, we will be open for dinner with a reconfigured socially distanced dining room.

Hours are Wednesday – Friday 5:00pm-9:00pm and Saturday – Sunday 4:00pm-9:00pm. Starting July 15, 2020, we will be open 7 nights a week. An outdoor dining area is in the works and we hope to open this new space soon.

Lunch served outside behind the tasting room:  Wed.-Sun 11:30 am to 3:00 pm.

To ensure our staff and guests’ safety we are implementing the following requirements:

Reservations may be booked through OpenTable or by phone 805.688.0676 are highly recommended.  Walk-ins will be accepted if there is availability. Upon arrival please wait outside until we call or text you that your table is ready. If you do not have reservations please call upon arrival to see if we can accommodate you.

In order to comply with Santa Barbara County regulations, the following safety standards can be expected:

Guests must wear masks when entering our establishment, worn to your table, and while moving throughout the restaurant. They can be removed when eating and drinking. Social distancing is required, to the best of your ability, and tableside visiting with other guests is not permitted. Your entire party must be present in order to be seated. Seating restrictions dictate that large party seating, maximum of 10, is extremely limited. Sadly, our bar seating is not an option at this time.

We are following all requirements for staff training and sanitizing. Tables will be thoroughly cleaned between guests. We ask that you are considerate of your reservation time to ensure our staff has adequate time to prepare the table for our next reservation.

Our menu is available on our website and we suggest that you review our options as some items and choices have changed.

We all have different comfort levels during this challenging time so please be respectful of other guests and staff.

Thank you for being receptive to our new protocols and we hope to see you soon at the HP2!
